Type of polyurethane flooring
There are 3 main type of polyurethane flooring : Pu coating flooring, Pu mortar flooring, self-leveling PU floor.
PU coating flooring
This is a type of PU paint that are being paint over the substrate as concrete, epoxy mortar… Recommended thickness for this layer is 2mm. The PU coating system has an average temperature resistant, mostly use in pharmaceutical plants, food and beverage factories….
PU mortar flooring
This is a type of floor reinforced by a mortar layer made from PU resins and other additives. Often use repairing old floor damaged by chemicals, cracks due to temperature balance, or high impact.
Self-leveling PU flooring
Self-leveling PU system create the smooth and matt apperance for the floor, mostly apply 2-4mm in depth.
Advantages and disadvantages of pu flooring
Advantages of Pu floor
-Great ability in UV resistant, prevent yellowing
-Temperature resistant
-Easy to clean and maintain
-Create a hard-wearing and scratch-resistant floor.
Disadvantages of Pu floor
-The price of the PU floor is more expensive than other type of flooring.
-Longer curing period.
-Some may smell strong while construction
